Ray Bixler, CEO

Ray joined Sonar in November 2023. A proven leader with a successful background of building and scaling companies, he brings more than 25 years of experience leading growth, strategy, profitability, and transformation to his role. 

Previously, Ray spent 16 years as President and CEO for SkillSurvey, a privately held HR Technology SaaS company, leading it to a successful acquisition by iCIMS. Prior to SkillSurvey, he led the GTM efforts for RCN, the first American facilities-based overbuilder of bundled telephone, cable television, and internet service, in their New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia markets, where he helped launch their network. 

Ray is excited to join Sonar and further their mission, which is to partner with Internet Service Providers to deliver life-changing internet access to ALL communities, unlocking their potential.

Mark Johnson, President & CFO

Mark joined Sonar in December 2022, and brings over 25 years of enterprise software experience to Sonar.  He brings a wealth of experience in operations, finance, and mergers / acquisitions at publicly-traded and privately-held software companies.

Mark is excited about the clients Sonar serves, and how he can help Sonar continue to be a leading provider of solutions for its ISP customers.

Steve Schillingsburg, CTO

Steve has over 20 years of experience leading software and technology/SaaS organizations through emergence, new product launches, acquisitions and divestitures, methodology rollouts, platform re-architectures, and technology consolidations with a successful track record for growth. 

Steve was recently the CTO for Supplier.io, a leader in the supplier diversity space where he helped launch new products in the broader ESG space. Prior to Supplier.io, Steve was the the Chief Technology Officer at SkillSurvey, a technology company providing talent intelligence solutions, where he lead software engineering, cloud engineering and devops, client support, and IT and helped. Steve was the SVP of Product Engineering at Dude Solutions, a leading SaaS provider of operations, asset and facilities management solutions, where he led the technology organization through five acquisitions, global expansion, and significant client and revenue growth. 

Previously, he also led technology organizations for PeopleFluent, a human capital management SaaS provider; Certara, the leader in model-based drug development software solutions; and Thomson Reuters, delivering disruptive product offerings in the life science and healthcare industries.

Brett Thier, GM of Payments

Brett joined Sonar in September of 2022. He began his career in the payments industry over 15 years ago and has experienced many facets of the ecosystem. In multiple roles, Brett has been tasked with executing business strategies for SaaS platforms as they launched embedded payments solutions, including go-to-market strategy and operations. 

Brett is excited to be a part of Sonar, where teams are incredibly passionate about the mission, which is to partner with Internet Service Providers to deliver life-changing internet access to ALL communities, unlocking their potential.

Paul Dasbach, VP Client Relations

Paul’s journey with the internet began in 1993 when he first experienced the wonder of the web through NCSA Mosaic, the pioneering graphical web browser. From that moment, he knew he wanted to be a part of the revolution that was bringing people closer together through the power of high-speed data access.

With almost 30 years of experience, Paul brings a wealth of expertise to Sonar, having honed his skills in ISP technical operations and IT across various roles with Time Warner Cable, Spectrum, and Comcast. 

At Sonar, Paul’s passion aligns perfectly with our mission: to partner with Internet Service Providers to deliver life-changing Internet access to ALL communities, unlocking their potential. He sees in Sonar the opportunity to leverage his experience and knowledge to make a real difference, unlocking the potential of communities and bridging the digital divide.

Georgette Lopez-Aguado, Senior Director of Client Relations

Georgette is a native of Fort Worth, TX. She began working in the ISP/OSS arena in 2016 and joined Sonar Software in 2017. She is a co-founder for the Women of WISPA group and enjoys helping other women connect, encourage and inspire others in the industry. In her current role as the Sr. Director of Client Relations, Georgette and her team are laser focused on helping customers harness the power of Sonar through strategic partnerships. Connecting the dots is her super power.
