Procera + Sonar = The Ultimate Solution

Feb 22, 2017 by Simon Westlake

Procera, for everyone.

The challenges facing ISP networks today are massive. Streaming video, constant software updates, and the deluge of devices inside residential households have caused bandwidth requirements to skyrocket. We've long advocated the use of a Procera Networks device as a solution to this problem, but the high cost of the Procera appliances, coupled with the complex and expensive licensing and support contract model, has left this solution out of the hands of many of our customers. Today, that changes.

Roadmap for 2017

Jan 16, 2017 by Simon Westlake

Sonar reached version 1.0 at the end of 2016. On our path towards 1.0, we've brought over 150 ISPs around the world onto the Sonar platform, and we're looking forward to the next 150!

Getting to 1.0 required us to meet a minimum feature set that we felt was needed in a comprehensive billing and OSS. Feedback has been overwhelming positive to the features we've built, but there are a lot of features we didn't complete due to time constraints, and I'd like to share our roadmap for 2017 with you now, which will take us towards 2.0 and completion of those missing features.

Sonar 1.0 is almost here!

Sonar 1.0 will be in your hands next week, and there's a new video series available that walks you through the features of the network monitoring and alerting module. I encourage you to check it out!

While 1.0 brings us to what we consider a fully-featured billing and OSS platform, we're far from done. Our 1.1 update is already in production, which will bring a number of major improvements to the billing system. We'll be sharing a roadmap for future modules soon, including a project management module, more sales features in the CRM, a custom reporting tool, and much, much more.I'd like to publicly thank all the customers that have trusted Sonar to run their operations prior to our 1.0 release. We already have Sonar deployed in over 120 unique ISPs around the world, with customers in North and South America, Europe, Australia, and Africa. The response to our platform has been tremendous, and we're incredibly thankful for all the feedback that's been provided by the Sonar community.I'd also like to say a public thanks to the Sonar team - everyone has worked incredibly hard to build Sonar from scratch, and it's been a long 18 months! We're going to take some much needed rest over this holiday weekend, and then we'll be right back at it next week as we deliver Sonar 1.0.Stay tuned for another major announcement in early 2017 - we've got some really exciting things coming.

Sonar 1.0 is almost here!

Sonar 1.0 is almost here - we're on track to deliver it before the end of the year, and the entire team is thrilled to be this close to hitting 1.0.

The primary module coming in 1.0 is our network monitoring module, but there's tons of new features packed in, including a major UI upgrade, that has increased the speed of many complex interfaces by 50% or more!

ServerPlus Integration

Sep 16, 2016 by Simon Westlake

I'm happy to announce our integration with ServerPlus. ServerPlus already provides call center services to a number of ISPs that use Sonar, and this integration will assist in making these services more valuable and efficient.

Thanks to our extensive API, we've been able to work with ServerPlus to provide a very tight integration. Without ever logging in to your Sonar system, ServerPlus can search for customer details, view and create tickets, upload call recordings and files, and much more.
